Health & Hygiene

Addressing the health needs of the local community has emerged as one of the most pressing needs to ensure the total health of the ecosystem.

We are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for both biodiversity and local communities. To support the most vulnerable groups who are often the first to experience the impacts of human-wildlife conflict (HWC) and the climate crisis, we have mobilized resources to address their needs. Through comprehensive surveys conducted in our operational areas, we have gained insights into the health concerns and the physical and psychological effects of living in conflict-prone regions. Based on these findings, we prioritize strengthening local public health services to benefit communities living on the fringes of forests.

In addition to these efforts, we organize medical camps for forest department staff and their families, providing essential routine medical care. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we successfully established isolation centers in select villages and donated oxygen concentrators and medications to local primary health centers (PHCs), thanks to the support of our dedicated partners and donors.

By focusing on health and well-being, we aim to create a safer and healthier environment for both people and wildlife, fostering resilience in communities that face unique challenges.
